BEFORE you read about “The Basics” I encourage you to take this 3 minute online personality quiz. Once you see your percentage score for each color category, then you can read more about them here.
Whether you have heard me speak or read my book or not, I still want my posts to be relevant to you. But for them to make sense we must all speak the same language. So, in a very brief nutshell, here are the primary identifiers of the 4 personality types:
Yellows: loud, open, and cluttered
Blues: quiet, closed, and neat & tidy
Reds: high energy, bold hand gestures, and practical & efficient
Greens: process of elimination (don’t seem to fit into any of the other categories), cool, calm & collected, and all about comfort.
When I teach personalities I always use the quadrants like this:
The top 2 are the extroverts, and the bottom 2 the introverts.
The left side tend to be more people oriented; the right side tend to be more task-oriented.
Most people have a primary and a secondary (or an even split) of two personalities that touch each other on the chart.
There’s definitely more to it than this, but this should be enough to get you started.
