Highlights from November

When people refer to me as a “writer” I am usually pretty quick to tell them that I am a speaker who happens to blog and has a couple of published books. I am motivated by the message I have to share, but as you may have noticed I haven’t been writing much lately…at least not here.

One of the reasons I haven’t been blogging as much lately as that I’ve been speaking quite a bit lately. November 1st I flew to Albany, New York where Mitch Taylor and I were part of a two day sales training event for the Adirondack – Albany Wedding Association and the Adirondack/Albany Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association.

From Albany, I headed a little farther north and crossed the border in Ontario, Canada. There I was able to experience the beauty of Niagara Falls – with record breaking warm temps for November – before doing another workshop for a group of business owners in Hamilton, ON.

Then, after a few days at home to unpack, do laundry, and re-pack my husband and I left to join several of our friends and colleagues on the Wedding & Event Pros Cruise from Long Beach to Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. I know, I know…what a difficult place for a conference….but somebody has to do it.

I know the pics don’t really show it, but we did attend seminars, have round table discussions, record a podcast and actually do some work that week. 😉
